SPAY/NEUTER ORDINANCE
As of 2008, a law has been in effect in the City of Los Angeles that requires all cats and dogs older than 4 months be spayed or neutered. Violations are subject to penalties the first is a $100 fine, the second is mandatory sterilization and the third is a misdemeanor. Dog owners are also required to have an intact license.
