During the day (and often the night) I am a corporate attorney, but my true passion is animals. I have always had an interest in animal rights, including those of farm animals, as well as cats and dogs. After my first year of law school, I adopted a cat (Tinka) from the North Central Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, and Mara joined our family from the South LA Animal Shelter a few months later. I joke that it’s their house, and I’m just their devoted live-in butler/nanny/cleaner. I started volunteering with the West LA Animal Shelter in late 2015, and when I found out Lizzie Lewis, my colleague, also volunteered there, I jumped at the chance to learn from her and her close group of fellow animal lovers. In 2016 I started fostering kittens, and so far have fostered seven kittens. My lifelong passion for bettering the lives of animals has brought me to Kitty of Angels, and I couldn’t be more excited.
