Our Mission

Kitty of Angels is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides funds and resources for homeless cats and kittens in Los Angeles. Our primary focus is on animals at risk of being euthanized in city shelters, including underage kittens and animals with health needs. Our immediate goal is to place at-risk animals into foster homes until they are able to be adopted into loving homes. While fostering is an immediate goal, we are also focused on partnering with shelters and community outreach. While achieving our goals, we want to share every step of our journey with you.

Meet Our Team

Lizzie Lewis - Founder & President

After volunteering and fostering with Los Angeles Animals Services for several years, Lizzie decided she wanted a more hands-on way to help other shelter animals, fosters parents and adopters. She started the rescue in 2016 and hasn't looked back.

On top of running the rescue, she and her husband Ryan have also fostered over 150 foster kittens which their resident cats, Ted and Hobo Joe, love to mother (and occasionally hiss at).
